Author: Debbie Oliver

Debbie has a passion for the Lord and a desire for growth and knowledge in the Scriptures. She enjoys reading Christian books and can be found regularly sniffing the pages of any new book with a smile and a sigh! Her home library spans over 2,400 books (and counting)!   Debbie is a devoted mother of 6 beautiful children and a self-employed entreprenuer. She specializes in digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and publishing. She loves serving others and is a published author, with a few more books in the works!   Debbie was born and raised in Northern California, although her favorite season is winter and she loves the snow! She is an avid baker and cook who loves to create and is easily inspired. Crafts and fun gold mining adventure weekends with her husband are also some things that bring her joy and replenishment. Her favorite thing to do is encourage others and make them smile and laugh (in addition to absolutely adoring snowmen, coffee, and the Pioneer Woman)!

Feeding The Mind Feeds The Soul

January 5, 2018June 7, 2020 Debbie Oliver

Feeding The Mind Feeds The Soul We all know that knowledge is power. BUT, the type of knowledge we feed ourselves determines the power we are letting into our lives. Are we searching for knowledge that comes from other people? From the media? From unreliable sources? Or are we turning to the Word of God… Continue reading Feeding The Mind Feeds The Soul

January 3, 2018 Debbie Oliver

Fresh, new, positive and full of hope…that is the attitude a new year seems to bring. As I look around and listen at my workplace, at my church, in my home and just everywhere I go: I am noticing that people just seem optimistic and excited about life. Negativity seems to have disappeared, and that… Continue reading New Year, New Me!

Falling Prey To Busyness

January 21, 2017June 7, 2020 Debbie Oliver

As I am halfway through a 75-hour double shift work week, I have been strongly reminded several times the importance of balance and pace. It is easy for me to log on at 6 a.m. and work straight through the days until 6 p.m.--often forgetting meals, other chores needing to be done, and even… Continue reading Falling Prey To Busyness

Christianity Does Not Equal Comfort

January 6, 2017June 7, 2020 Debbie Oliver

I think often people have the vision that when you become a Christian everything is supposed to be right with the world, you're supposed to walk a golden path lined with some invisible bubble of protection. This couldn't be further from the truth, in fact that is why they call the road to Christianity the… Continue reading Christianity Does Not Equal Comfort

Fear Is Not A “God Quality”

October 26, 2016June 7, 2020 Debbie Oliver

When you grow, you learn to not fear any human being. Whether it be physical threats, legal threats, or just intimidation and demands. Fear is an emotion not given by God, so I refuse to live in it anymore. I allowed it for so many years and let my fear be openly shown, and so… Continue reading Fear Is Not A “God Quality”

A Passion To Serve

October 13, 2016June 7, 2020 Debbie Oliver

Passion to serve God, passion to serve others...passion! God told us that to be a leader and a teacher, we first have to be a servant and a student. The way we receive blessings is through the gift of giving. That is not to say we should serve with the sole purpose to receive… Continue reading A Passion To Serve

What Does Single Mean, Anyway?

October 3, 2016June 7, 2020 Debbie Oliver

Well, when it comes to this topic we need to look a few different places, and then best interpret the definition in a way that we can understand, acknowledge, and embrace it. So, let’s start with the basic definition as found in the famous and world-wide Merriam-Webster Dictionary: Single - 1) not married; 2) of… Continue reading What Does Single Mean, Anyway?
