Ladies, let’s talk about Valentine’s Day. The holiday where every store is exploding with pink and red, roses are suddenly more expensive than a cup of fancy coffee (tragedy!), and you can’t escape the heart-shaped chocolates even if you tried. If you’re widowed, single, or just feeling a little overlooked this season, let me remind you of something: You are already so deeply, wildly, and beautifully loved. And not just by your great-aunt who still sends you $5 in a Valentine’s card.
Isaiah 54:10 says, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

God’s love isn’t like a bouquet that wilts after a few days—it’s like the best coffee, always fresh, always warm, always exactly what you need. Whether you are feeling lonely this Valentine’s or totally content in your singlehood, remember that your value isn’t tied to a relationship status. It’s rooted in the love of a Savior who saw you as worthy enough to go to the cross.
Instead of letting the world define this day, let’s reclaim it. Treat yourself to a bouquet of bright flowers (because, why not?), invite a friend over for a cozy night with a good book and coffee, or spend time in worship soaking in the love that never fades. Do something that brings joy to your heart—take a winter walk and admire the beauty of God’s creation, curl up in your favorite blanket, and remember that your story is still unfolding in the most beautiful way.
Psalm 136:26 encourages us, “Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.” Even in seasons where love feels distant, God’s love remains constant. His love is not conditional on whether you receive a Valentine’s card or whether your plans look different than expected. His love is faithful, everlasting, and personal.
So whether you’re wrapped in a cozy blanket with a latte in hand or out enjoying the day with friends, know this: You are loved beyond measure. And that is worth celebrating!
Debbie 🙂
